Our client, a leading FMCG is looking to recruit a Culture Marketing Manager. The Culture Marketing Specialist will be a part of the Marketing Team and is responsible for dedicated Culture projects and programmes within the overall Nigerian business.

He/She is responsible for building the local face of the brand – in Culture & Music (including festivals), long term partnerships and strong networks including Opinion Leaders & key influencers both online (Social Media) and offline of the brand in the most locally relevant way in line with Regional & Global strategies to increase Brand awareness.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Culture Marketing

Build the foundations of a highly effective Culture program by:

  • Establishing and maintaining selected locally relevant Culture Marketing initiatives and projects as part of the overall marketing plan
  • Developing brand image & relevance by identifying strategic Third-party Culture and Music platforms with which to drive long term partnerships
  • Negotiating and securing relevant music, SI & MI rights to ensure all created content can be sufficiently utilised in our media business
  • Closely collaborating with On-Premise, Communications and Brand Marketing teams in the planning and execution of all National programs and events

Opinion Leader Network & Event Program

Establish the organisation as a credible brand in the local scene by:

  • Building a strong network in the fields of Culture in general – and Music in particular to ensure the organisation is at the forefront of new and upcoming trends
  • Building a strong portfolio of key Artists to work with on various projects and programs within the entirety of the organisation
  • Taking care of optimum usage of the firm's products in focused Culture playgrounds by Opinion Leaders and secure perfect communication about the brand and the product.
  • Drive “Can in hand” and product placement with key Artists and in defined key areas

Branding and Communication

Build and grow engagement to reach more people, more often and for longer by:

  • Working with the Media Network Manager to design and contribute to unique stories, interesting topics, new formats, and top media content
  • Managing the firm's brand appearance at all Culture program in line with international benchmarks and guidelines.
  • Managing all Culture related information & data on internal platforms 

Requirements

EXPERIENCE NEEDED

  • A minimum of 3 years previous work experience within the Music/Entertainment Industry, Events or Marketing Agency, PR agency or Artist management 
  • Knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint are a must.
  • Ability to design and organise events and projects of all scales.
  • Able to pursue a global company vision: management of strategic, marketing, communication, logistic, finance, legal and sales-oriented challenges. 
  • Have a clear understanding of the local & global lifestyle and entertainment industry.
  • Leadership, Self-Motivation, Impeccable Interpersonal and Team Skills.
  • Creative, innovative, open-minded, sporty, self-conscious, motivated, capable of working in a team, leadership quality.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree in Marketing, Mass Communication or Business Administration/Management

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS

  • English (Verbal & Written)
